Decision Engineer, Infrastructure Development & Delivery

Fluidstack is seeking a Decision Engineer to build AI-powered decision systems and internal tools that make infrastructure development and delivery workflows significantly more productive. You'll work autonomously on full-stack applications leveraging frontier AI models, maintaining shared AI infrastructure, and driving productivity gains across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to define how a fast-growing infrastructure company integrates AI into its operations while supporting civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with production-grade code in Go, Python, and TypeScript
- Strong full-stack development skills building web applications (React, Next.js, or similar frameworks)
- Hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models)
- Experience creating and using MCP servers and agentic frameworks
- Daily, demonstrable use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
- Strong product and systems judgment, comfortable with ambiguity and demanding pace
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Build decision systems and internal tools leveraging frontier models for infrastructure development and delivery workflows
- Own tools end to end, from conception through production
- Iterate directly with infrastructure development and delivery teams
- Design and maintain shared AI infrastructure including AGENTS.md and SKILLS.md
- Build shared skills for the organization
- Build custom integrations between LLMs and internal systems (Slack, GitHub, internal APIs, operational data)
- Stay current with rapidly evolving AI capabilities and proactively identify opportunities to apply emerging techniques
